Dampierre-en-Burly is a small town located in the Loiret region of France, south of the city of Orleans.

Dating back to the sixteenth century, the town has a population of less than 2,000. Along with agriculture, tourism plays an important role in Dampierre-en-Burly, with tourists attracted to the 17th century Château de Dampierre-en-Burly.

The aim of this project was to illuminate the castle walls to draw attention to the town’s key monument and encourage even greater visitor numbers.

BLADE LRi was the product of choice for this installation, based on its ability to provide a good colour consistency when the 61 fittings were installed next to each other. BLADE was also chosen for its uniform wall wash effect that revealed the texture of the stones.

The compact size of the fitting and the ease of installation was also a significant factor in the customer opting for BLADE.

acdc Business Development Manager for France, Antoine Jean, said ‘It was amazing to work on this project and discover Dampierre. Understanding the town’s charm and applying light on this great castle was a very insightful experience. Our ability to offer design support and a quick turn-around was greatly appreciated by the customer.’
